The management of the college misused funds collected, did not develop labs, library, did not recruit proper qualified staff members and professors. and even promoted unethical practices. Consequently many colleges fell from grace and students did not prefer such colleges. seats in large numbers remain unfilled. Axe finally fell on such colleges. They had to close down.Hundreds of such colleges closed down business and vanished. But no one became pauper. Real estate sector saved them because land values went sky high. The value of college lands and buildings also soared sky high making them very rich. In many such buildings schools junior colleges degree colleges are being run and some are given on rent as administrative buildings to govt at high rents. On the whole ,they are happy they are not loosers and made fool of public

You never know what is is the minds of civilian babus and the top leaders. although CD's was appointed, civilian babus are unhappy that their control over services has been reduced. Some service senior officers were appointed as joint secretaries that disturbed hornets nest. One need not be surprised if the appointment if CDS IS DEFERED for long. Formers Air chief too was very unhappy with previous CDS over the role of airforces in operations when CDS called Air force as a supporting arm in theatre command operations. They may be planning to cut services to size and reduce it's importance. Probably they are trying to roll back the services to position of what they were earlier on back benches.

In fact, the response of civilians in general at the sudden death of CDS and hi entire team and lady wife in chopper crash and during funerals has disturbed the hornets nest. No civilian babu attracted such attention. The importance shown by gen population to services was never seen earlier and babudom could be much disturbed at the, turn of events after chopper crash. Such situation will usually be disliked and plans must be rolling out to send services back into oblivion in the, dark corners where they are not seen and do not become popular among masses.
