this is a stone temple built of chiselled beams and pilars. Garuda and hanuman images are carved on the front pillars indication that it is a Vaishnava temple. There is no image of god in the temple and no pooja takes place when this fort was scaled by me in 2010. No inscription is available on structure. Papanna was a shiva worshipper and is unlikely that this was built by him.The presiding deity on the ill in the fort is Matsya narsimha swamy where regular worship takes place even today.
