  1. lemur belongs to class primates. Worlds most varieties of lemurs stay in MADAGASKAR that was cut off from Africa for many centuries. Humans entered the island 2000 years ago. With arrival of human some of the giant size lemurs vanished. They were of size of female gorilla. Today the largest lemur is Indri lemur. it is of size of usual large monkey. The smallest is mouse lemur. Few t toes of lemurs stay in India, Indonesia and some other parts. Slow loris and slender loris are common in India. Lemurs are night walkers and thus have very large round eyes and look like ghosts. The body's are fluffy full of hair. indri lemurs are worshipped by natives. Yet some UN authorised killing takes place due to poverty. All lemurs are required to be protected with strict legislation
