CIVILIAN DESIGNATIONS TO SERVICE OFFICERS IN   DMA

By craving and accepting civilian designations in DMA  of MOD, army has rather accepted demotion of their  ranks that was done on regular basis after independence from time to time. 

First  , Gen Later FM  Cariappa accepted reduction of pay of army officers that facilitated assault by the beaurocrats on army officers  status, ranks, equivalence, perks, promotions  .. Over the years ,the govt brought down the status of army ranks.. Now after many years in the present set up ,the three services are feeling happy and highly elated that the Maj  Gen and  equivalents officers of sistyer services posted in DMA  are given civilian ranks as joint secretaries.    In reality , it  is accepting  a, demoted ranks in equivalence.
