CAN HIGHLY EDUCATED POLITICIANS GIVE US GOOD ADMINISTRATION ... A FALLACY ?
Col Prof Dr k, Prabhskar Rao Veteran
The fallacy that we have in India that administration would improve very greatly if well educated and highly learned men enter politics and take up reins of govt. Sadly this does not happen. In Telangana and earlier in former AP state too, we had a former IAS officer who resigned and started a political party. Initially ,he made some waves. He was Mr clean no doubt. He did well as MLA and took part in assembly discussions. He did not support ruling party to form govt. Slowly, his own cadre faded away as they were not getting benefits of politics. Next time, the party faded away and he did not win at polls. We get leaders what we deserve. People who vote are influenced by liquor , and money and lower strata of society who are in large number falla prey to this.Naturally the elect clumsy men as MLA and MP.Indian democracy is a clumsy drainage pit where all MLA and MP are swimming and squirming in the shit pot to find fortunes for themselves. A straight forward and honest guy is not the answer. Winning at polls is dependent on various poll promises, free money showers, caste based religion based politics etc and majority of the people who contest and win have criminal back grounds and some are on bail too. People like Shashi Tharoor who speaks English using words that no one understands, Kiran Bedi the former IPS snob going around have no meaning and are of no consequence in politics in India.. This country will continue like this promoting mutual hatred, promoting reservations, negating merit, dishing out free bees, free money grants, loan waivers, free gas cylinders, free rations, Two Rs a kilo rice schemes, interest free loans etc and people who form the major vote banks are habituated to these. In Telangana, the govt boosted salaries of employees by 30..40 percent and all employees are put in basket. To over come deficit ,the states take loans that they can never repay. To pay old loans ,they take fresh loans. and they will never are free from loans. Luckily states have no power to print currency except RBI at centre. The spiral is never ending and the state gets strangulated and moves towards to calamity and destruction. Same is true for centre. Euphoria for becoming world power is increasing increasing def purchases. Inability to sort out differences with neighbors result in increased def expenditure by leaps and bounds and this is vicious circle from which we can not come out and are trapped in the web inching towards destruction. China in particular is aiming to destroy our economy by border aggression that is forcing our country to increase defence spending by leaps and bounds. Although India is going for arms manufactured in India we are still far behind. Pressure from China is on. We are caught in vicious circle and are unable to extricate. More over the country was struck badly by Virus that crippled economy. We bare thus stuck in a swirling pool from which extrication appears extremely difficult and un certain
