ABHIT BHATTACHARYA.. REVOLUTIONARY.. he was from sylhet.. And he along with three more associates committed raid/dacoity of mail bags containing money sent by train at habigunje. Thesebags were being carried by an unarmed rail employee and he was waylaid injuand robbed. this was seen by some farmers who chased the attackers. in order to escape Abhit opened fire and one of the person died .The farmers yet did not leave and chased the attackers and over powered them and handed over to police. Consequently ,Abhit was tried and sentenced to death and was hanged on 13 March 1930.Three more accomplice were given life term .
