SURYA SEN .. INDIAN REVOLUTIONARY, he was a Bengali teacher by profession. after graduation at berhampore college at Chittagong. Now in Bangladesh. he was influenced by freedom struggle. although he participated in non co operation movement soon he formed his own revolutionary group being a very good organiser, He us famous for raid on Chittagong armoury with intention of capture of arms and ammunition if police forces. tge raid was conducted on 18 April 1930. The raid was very intense and 80 British troops died along with 12 revolutionaries. tge raiders got the arms but not ammunition. After the raid the revolutionaries escaped and hid in small groups Sen was arrested on 16 April 1944 on the tip off given by Netra Sen who betrayed him. the next day a revolutionary beheaded Netra Sen in his house with a Dah .a long knife peculiar to eastern states in India. surya Sen was tried and hanged at Chittagong jail on 12Jan 1934.Along with him another revolutionary Tarakeswar dasragir was also hanged, Before hanging all teeth of surya Sen were hammered out and nails pulled off so that he could not shout bandemajrarm while hanging .long live memory of surya Sen
