There have been many maoist ambushes in India On orissa Andhra boder, Andhra Maharashtra borders,and of course in chaattis gad and jhar khand. Every time, moists ambushed the crpf and state armed police very successfully.Th  CRPF is a

 lethargic  force where I P S officers hold higher posts and never lead from front. they are glory hunters ..Even an asst commandant hides  behind. Police movements  are fed by locals to  maoists and maoists enjoy public sympathy. So these ambushes, are always successful. Why such large force of 400  should move enblock. ?That's the first mistake. Crpf has failed to secure the route  that is the, second greatest blunder. they apparently did not have guide party to probe and warn about the dangerous zone  and the force  walked into death trap. 

Crpf is poorly trained in fighting  insurgency. they may be ok for normal law and order duties to fire on unarmed poor stone pelting civilians  and claim police  medals  in turn too  while the officers have nice time. Any how ,loss of life is bad. Now blame game has already started.

    These IPS OFFICERS  are protected inspite of their professional reoeated failures.a senior police officer  who was indicted earlier fot failures in the previous  ambush by maoists  is now the key  figure in the present failure too. Why such officers, are being protected and promoted  too at the cost of lives of constables. .? Now Maoists are well armed ,even better armed with a test weapons and better  trainred  and better  motivated  withgreater morale  and commitment than police personnel.The police force is dogged with many administrative problems psycholgial disturbances, suicides etc. 

moists have better intelligence set up  and enjoy local sympathy among masses ,tribals and poor. Movement Of police forces is not hidden from others  including crows and the police has no proper training in fighting guerilla warfare. There is a need to   reorganise police force to fight insurgency. crpf must develop their own cadre  instead of being a mercenary force. they must undergo courses in fighting insurgency under military supervision  which they dislike and suffer too. Last time too ,when we lost about 50 odd  CRPF pers They went through a defile and the Commander of the party did not follow proper drill for  securing the defile  and later were massacred. 

 it is learnt that this time too, two  villages were empty and vacant without men and women .Like for a picnic, they had walked into the village without proper tactical approach.The Maoists  were inside the huts and our forces walked in nwres if lurking death. Some times ago crpf force was  butchered at orissa Andhra  border when they tried to cross a lake in boats. Maoists  were waiting as  executioners. 

in nut shell  ,crpf is not a competent force to fight insurgency and the force is lethargic ,not we'll trained in doctrines on insurgency, do not follow basic rules of tactics and officers, are not with men and  stay in ivory tower. Hence force suffers. in any fight against insurgents , police has to be one up as  the insurgents have an advantage over police and police  is always way laid. Police has to be greatly alert. This is not happening. Hence the deaths and sucess to maoists.poor constables are getting killed due to bad planning and execution by officers.
