THE GENERAL WHO REFUSED TO COMMIT MURDER OF A FOE

Great guy was MajorGen harkirat singh who refused to commit a blatant murder of prabhakaran the chief of LTTE reportedly ordered by none other than rajiv Gandhi through Dixit the high commissioner.He saved our army froma dastardly act of betrayal towards a foe called for discussions under white flag. He had greatest moral courage to stand up even at the cost of promotion as Lt gen in days to come. For him,promotion had no meaning earned by committing a murder of enemy chief,..It was a shameful conduct by s politician and a beaurocrat. We must be proud of the general for displaying highest code of conduct in war.A friend stated...Wished the present    top brass in  our army  follow his foot steps .I also wish  they display a  stiff spine  remaining yet polite , determined and assertive. Alas... it is not to be.. Lot of water has flown  since 1988  in the Indian gutters since IPKF was battling LTTE Tooth and nail and lost 1185 men in the process and badly mauled.The force  we served long has degenerated into conglamation of yes.. Yes  sir.. Jee hazoori sychophant    set up resulting in great devaluation of values  and loss of moral courage to stand forctruth. Sadly no harkirat singh again was seen in force..
