ANANTA SINGH. REVOLUTIONARY. He was born at chittagong andcwas influenced by surya sen. he had no faith in non cooperation movement of Gandhi although he participated. later he and normal sen led the robbery at treasury of Assam bengal railway on 24 dec and escaped to calcutta. he was arrested in 1924 and imprisoned for four years. on 18 April 1930 hecwas one of the leaders of chittagong armoury raid andvafter raid he escaped along with ganesh ghosh and jiban ghoshal. after acshort encountervwith police at feni railstation he escaped to chadana gore. he surrendered to police on 28 June 1930 and he was sentenced to life term and sento port blair. after long hunger strike he and other revolutionaries were sent to mainland jail and finally released in 1946. Later he formed revolutionary comunist council of India far leftist organisation and carried out bank robberies. he was also a film producer. he was arrested and imprisoned for eight years. He died shortly after his release.
