BABA BAGHELA SINGH A
MILITARY GENERAL in 18 century. Baghela singh belonged to Krosa misl and member of sikh
confererancy and in 1765 he became leader of the misl. He rose to prominence in
area between satlej and Yamuna. He joined singh Krora misl member of sikh confederancy
and in 1765 he became leader of the misl. When Abdali durrani attacked Delhi he joined Andali in the fight
against Muslims. At Malerkotla. He established himself at Hoshiarpur. He
extended his influence greatly on North India and in 1764 he attacked sahranpur
and captured areas of Najib ud daula and atook tribute of Rs 1100000. In 1776
he defeated Mughal army at Muzaffarnagar . In 1786 he defeated Mughal army of
100,000 and the Mughal army surrendered at Patiala. Baghela singh and Emperror Shah Aalam agreed that 12.5
percent of Octroi collected at
Sabzi mandi would be sent to Sikhs. And in turn
Sikhs would not attack delhi.He entered Delhi in 1783. He built many Gurudwars in delhi . He died in
1802 at Hariana after an eventful career .
