And was arrested by police commissioner Charter tegart at Chandannagar.Therecwascexchange of. Fire in which another revolutionary Jiban ghosh died, Ganesh was sentenced to life term at port Blair cellular jail and deported in 1932.he was released in 1946. he joined communist party after release worked on the party for long. he contested elections and played important role in the party functioning.
